Registration

SPL2011 offers different registration fees to give everyone the opportunity to participate in the event. Professors, researchers, professionals as well as full-time students are encouraged to register for SPL2011. All attendees will have free access to tutorials that will be held the two days previous the conference as long as they register for them.

All participants must be registered by March 11, 2011. Both credit card and bank (wire) transfer are available as payment methods (see below for details). No on-site payment will be possible.

All authors must complete the registration process by February 7, 2011; otherwise, the paper will not be included in the proceedings. For each paper accepted to SPL2011, a registration is required.

Fees are expressed in US dollars (USD). Note that IEEE members have a discount of USD$50 on any registration fee. A valid copy of the membership will be required when registering at the conference.

Finally, it is possible to cover up to two (2) papers with the extra paper fee or to get published a paper with up to two (2) additional pages with the extra pages fee. Gala Dinner tickets are also available for an extra fee.

Payment

Registration payments are handled on EDAS so we have a record of who registered and who has not. Two methods of payment are available:

Credit Card Payment Procedure:

1. Go into EDAS and click on Register tab at the top, a list of conferences will appear

2. Scroll down to SPL2011 line and click on the extreme right green money symbol at the end of this line, a new page will appear

3. Select your registration fee (see above for details) and click on the extreme right button (Trolley symbol). A new table will immediately appear below under a new line “Registered, but no paid”.

4. Under this table a list of credit card symbols and SWIFT symbol (wire transfer) will appear. Click on the credit card symbol.

5. If you choose credit card, a new page will appear, enter all card details, scroll down to the bottom and click Pay for Registration.

Bank Transfer Payment Procedure:

Step 1: Wire Transfer Deposit

1. Select your registration fee (see above for details). This method can be used by local participants to paid in argentine currency (ARS - Argentine Peso). To compute the local fee 1 USD is equivalent to 4 ARS. The conference bank account details are:

2. When making the payment, your bank MUST put the conference name SPL2011 and your paper ID as reference.

For example, if you paper ID is 1569054321, then your bank must put the code below on your payment document:

If your are registering  two papers with the extra paper fee, add  the second paper after the first one.  For example, if your second paper ID is 2319054321

Step 2: Upload the receipt on EDAS

1. Go into EDAS and click on Register tab at the top, a list of conferences will appear

2. Scroll down to SPL2011 line and click on the extreme right green money symbol at the end of this line, a new page will appear

3. Select your registration fee (see above for details) and click on the extreme right button (Trolley symbol). A new table will immediately appear below under a new line “Registered, but no paid”.

4. Under this table a list of credit card symbols and SWIFT symbol (wire transfer) will appear. Click on the SWIFT symbol to register the wire/bank transfer.

5. A new page will appear, enter your address details in the box ‘Address on receipt’ (this is required to generate your registration receipt), select ‘Date paid’ and put your paper ID in the box ‘Payment Notes’ then click on ‘Pay for registration by wire’.

6. Go back to the Register tab at the top and you will see below a ' Registration payments'  table where you can upload a scanned copy of the wire transfer receipt you got from the bank.
